Just got a 93 given to us by a friend. Want to clean it up and upgrade anything we can to make a cool little 4X4 for the fam. My son and I are using it as a project. Having never been into these cool little rides, I need some solid direction for easy upgrades, locations for getting all new rubber and cool accessories. Keeping the existing power for now. Only 90K on it. My son's race cars for their hobby, so even some deep mods, we are capable. Thanks in advance. Also looking for some VIN I.D. info.

Are you asking where the VIN tag is? If so just open the driver door and look on the side of the dash and there should be a tag.. Seats, good question, let me know if you find some, but I have my eyes on some out of a sidekick they look/feel better to me.

Type "VIN decoder" into google and it should come back with some results where you can enter your VIN and it will decode it for you.  Samurai VINs don't give you a lot of info, like some other vehicle VINs do.
The 2000ish and up Neon seats are nice.  I have them in a couple of my samurais.  A couple of the holes line up with the existing holes in the samurai seat tracks.  Then you just use self tapping screws/bolts to secure the other half of the seat to the tracks.

If I wanted to upgrade the suspention (not for off road all the time, primarily for street) What are some recommendations? This sami has rancho 5000's that are beat up and all the stock rubber and springs. Looking to better the ride and keep a reasonable budget. Not looking to lift it at this time.

For a better ride I would use OME springs, they give 2" lift and can fit up to 30" tires. The stock springs aren't much of a soft ride even if you replace all bushings etc. Just my opinion.

For ride and handling advice I'd have to have detailed pics of the existing suspension.
 Front end geometry is everything on any solid front axle rig. Make sure yours is correct.
 Once that is done, a good set of Gas shocks , and a sway bar upgrade will help on road handling...GENERALY...
It will never be a slalom racer though...Boxcar....
