grand vitara rear brake conversion

Has anyone done a rear disc brake conversion for a grand vitara generation 1? How was the e-brake converted?  Spidertrax only sells e-brake conversion kits for Samurais.  I am planning to do this conversion but the issue on the e-brake puts everything on hold.

I think the 2009 Grand Vitara will have rear discs.  I'm not a mechanic, but I wonder if that would help those of us looking to do a conversion on previous generation GVs.  Maybe we could borrow some parts?  Please chime in, gearheads.
1999 Grand Vitara w/CALMINI Suspension and RRO Body Lift, 31" Goodyear MTR tires, Skidplates, 5.12 Diffs with a Lock-Right in the rear.

I agree, the rotors and calipers of samurais, vitaras and grand vitaras can definitely be used.  My concern is still on the e-brakes.

How about using a B&M Line Lock. It's hydraulic and you would have to cut a brake line and install. Then a 12 vdc solenoid keeps pressure in the line after you have pushed on brake. Very useful for hill holding, too. For emergency brake you have to source a switch that latches rather than the momentary one in the kit. I'd engineer the wiring to use the momentary function, too.

Don't want to mess with wiring, etc. You could use a Jamar hydraulic set-up. With this you just push down on the brake, press Jamar valve, hold it, and let off of brake. To release you just push brake. Doesn't work as a hill holder though as well as the Line Locker, also callled a launch control for drag racers.

The B&M Line Lock  I think has the same principle with the one I have in my suzuki samurai buggy (all 4 wheels have disc brakes installed).  I got a pair from an old surplus truck, it came with a solenoid switch. You use it by pressing the brake pedal and switch the solenoid to "ON" position and literally holds the vehicle even on extreme angles.  My problem is when the engine/power is turned "OFF", there is a tendency for the battery to get drained.  How do you cope with this?

I was also by someone to use a disc brake rotor and mechanical caliper from a donor Nissan altima/maxima e-brake and attach the rotor to the transfer case output flange/propeller shaft.  I still have not tried this and is quite difficult to source a used e-brake rotor from a Nissan here in the Philippines.
