data for TPS sensor
« on: June 09, 2008, 09:11:19 AM »
I have a Grand Vitara 3dr 1600cc auto. trans. year 2006.
I scanned with the OBD adaptor and found that the TPS (throttle position sensor) opening is between 12% and 82%.
in the Suzuku service manual that I have the correct data should be 0% to 95%.
but my service manual covers up to year 2000, does anyone have a manual that covers year 2006 and can give me the correct data
thanks.

Yeah. You apparently didn't put one of the new coversheets on your TPS sensors.   We're putting the coversheets on all TPS sensors. Did you get the memo about this?

what do you mean? I have a mechanically activated throttle, does it need a protective cover?
and what about the scanned data? is it within range?

Sorry.  Lame "Office Space" movie reference.  Not helpful.  Hang in there, somebody here will have your answer.
