CALMINI rear track bar question
« on: December 17, 2008, 08:56:29 PM »
The install on my rear trackbar (panhard bar) relocating bracket from my CALMINI kit wasn't a perfect fit.  Guy installing had to do a little shaving of the factory mounting area to make it fit right.  Problem is, the bracket has some play in it and is allowing my rear suspension to have side-to-side play of about a half inch.  This concerns me.  Any ideas or similar experiences.  Thanks.

i supplied a bracket like that 1 to a custmer who had a shop fit it for him and then he had the same problem as you, i simply put a spanner on it to tighten and it has been fine since

wire wheel and a couple tack weld will keep it from moving.

Or drill and install a couple self tappers to keep it from moving.

Or torque the hell outta it.

I also had to grind down the factory mount to make it fit.   As for tightening, I just rednecked it down and added torque markings which haven't moved yet... surprising too because of the recent snow I've been abusing my zuks rear end with alot of snow drifting and donuts still no loosening.
