My $500 dollar investment, where do i begin?

Well i picked up a 99 Chevy tracker for $500 recently. Why so cheap? she was put on her side and has some battle scars, ive fixed a few some others need fixing. Anyways it only has 112,000 miles on it and i drove it home 100 or so miles without a hitch. It does shake and feel like something is slipping when in 4wd going up hill on ice but other than that there really isn't many apparent problems. What i WANT to do is get this thing in shape to replace my Cherokee as a daily driver and mild wheeler i want it to do what my Cherokee can, meaning ill need a lift. It has a little rocker rot and there is where i want to start, is the body work. Can i replace it with 2x4 like people do with Cherokees? or is something gonna be cut that's vital. Also fender trimming any pics tutorials? I plan on hercing the inside. And i have some dents here and there with surface rust, and i need to bend the roof lip up on the passenger side front door since the lip was pushed down so is sits under the door seal and leaks, i think a hammer should work fine though. no serious roof crush anywhere. The people who put it on a flatbed beat her up a little. Should i use some filler? is there a cheap paint that matches the stock silver? rockers are my first on to do list

Suggest finding a wrecking yard TWIN that is mechanically toast or
other
area collision impacted to acquire the needed tin and trim parts. Finding one of the same body COLOR would be sweet.
The Zuki Grand Vitara version of your Tracker will widen your search.
Here's a good link to junk yard finds which you can tweak by ZIP code for your area..
