I know this topic could go in the general forum, but I thought I'd ask you guys first.
I just bought a used rear third member complete with a lockright locker. Years ago I had a locker in my Sammy so I'm not completely new to all the weirdness of lockers in a DD situation. That said, I don't remember the locker in my Sammy acting like this one does.
It seems like it pulls to one side after shifting which is odd. And worst of all It does this really bad clunking thing if I let off the gas while in a corner. The clunking is pretty brutal, shakes the whole vehicle. If I drive it very gingerly i can avoid the clunking but it sure is annoying when it happens.
Are these symptoms part of normal locker operation that I somehow didn't notice int samurai or is there something else going on?? The guy I bought it off said his buddy installed the locker. The one in my Sammy was installed by a pro. There's a difference right there, could it be that my current locker was set up incorrectly? Help me out, i mostly just want some peace of mind that my axles aren't going to explode.
