I know there are always questions about installing Fog lights/Offroad lights in the bumpers preformed spot. It was pretty simple to say the truth. I just got simple lights from Walmart $13 each for a 4in light.

My buddy just got 4 offroad lamps stolen off the roll bar on his toyota truck...they were worth 120 each! He went on vacation for a week and they were gone when he came back.  Damn junkies in my town they're all on the hillbilly heroin (oxy contin) Actually I know another guy that got the winch taken right off his gmc despite having filed down the bolt heads to prevent theft. But Im rambling off topic again i know

looks nice, i wonder how it would look like in a vitara grills or just the cheap plain front bumper, yours seems more like a grand vitara one.

Ya Diftoyota it is a Grand Vitara. I'm not sure how the Vitara bumpers look, do they have the recessed spot like these ones?

Well I was at the U-Pull. I grabbed a roof rack off of a Chevy Tracker. Perfect fit!

They're actually not that useful by themselves - the roof lacks the strength to support a load - he also has the cross bars, which were a separate option, and that's when they start to be useful, next up is a cargo pod or basket.

i find them handy as they are now, i have carried a queen size bed and a full size sofa as well. cross bar just gives more stuff to carry. but if your not worried for roof dents or scratches your all set as it is lol

On my first GV 01 it had the crossbars on it. I know how useful they can be.
This GV had the vertical rails but not the cross bars.

I have a truck so most of my hauling I will use that. For long trips/vacations I will use the hitch rack platform as well as the roof rack, now with the crossbars. Usually I take the dogs in the trunk area so I use the exterior to haul the rest.

I don't have a picture of the roof rack loaded but for the rear I got some.

If you don't mind the damage to the roof - you don't even need the rails - just toss your stuff up there and tie it down through the window and you're good.

i was looking at a motorcycle carrier for my vitara the other day, same set up as yours basically, just wonder if the vitara can hold up to a 300lb tongue weight (250lb dirt bike and a 50lb carrier). looks like your sags down alot for the amount of stuff you got on

Ya it could handle it. The rear does have a soft springs that can sag a bit with the weight, the rack mostly looks like it sags due to using a 1.5? to 2in receiver adapter off of the hitch then the rack all of those pieces have play and don't keep it sraight.
I got the 2in hitch now so the sag shouldn't be bad at all.

For what it's worth for those wishing they had a luggage rack...I just drilled holes through the exisiting rails to fit some U bolts and matching holes through some 2x4's i had laying around...voila! Been on there for several years with plenty of abuse and never an issue. 

I always tie the load to the RAILS not just to the 2x4's!!

When I get around to it I will replace the 2x4's with steel tubing and that will probably look a lot better.
