How do you get to the running lights on a '02 XL7?

Helping my former FIL out here.  Anyways, apparently there's a burnt out bulb in one of the running lights on my former '02 XL7 and he can't figure out how to get it.  Do you have to pull the grill off?

I never had to touch the lights with either of that generation Suzuki's I had so I really have no clue. ???

Ya if it's the same as my 99 GV then the grill has to come off and there's some 10mm bolts and you pop the whole headlamp assembly off.  It shouldn't mess up the headlight aim as long as nothing breaks and you don't touch the adjusters.

As to how exactly it pops out, I don't know, I haven't had to do it yet myself, but in the service manual that's how it's done.  ...sorry...   :-[

There's quite a few cars like that nowadays actually.  Some even have plastic "keys" you pull up and then presto, it's out.

PS:  Tell him to work those 10mm bolts gently back and forth in case they're seized.  No fun if they snap.  Been there (not on mine, on customer cars.)

Wonderful.

Glad I don't have to do it anymore.
