I rotated my wheels the other day (they will get changed some day ), and noticed a dent and bump on my chassis. It's on the front right, right where the flat part of rail goes upwards toward the spring perch.

You can see a bump on this side of the rail:


This circle is totally deformed,and you can see the bumps on either side:


This is the other side, how it should be:


I wonder how I hit that part so hard yet the catalizer which is right next to it is intact.

The question is, should this be adressed? I am not worried about it right now, just thinking that on the long term it might get worse. Hasn't anyone experienced this? Any solutions/reinforcements needed?

I would suggest welding a plate along the face of the verticle side of the frame. It wouldn't have to be too big. This would keep the frame from buckling and you actually having a problem. Something similar to the way Hagen reinforced his frame modifications on project "RockStar". That should work.

So a few plates on top (without cutting my existing frame ) and that should be it... I'd better start practicing my welds .

Yes, like that only you don't need to cut the frame and probably wouldn't need a plate anywhere near that big.

.... but that is the idea.

Sorry for the late post but it almost looks like it slipped off a car lift, I've seen this before, just a thought.  Dave
