For comparison purposes, these two Trackers are the same model year and are equipped identically, both have 2 liter engines with 5spd trannies.  The red Tracker has a set of OME springs ONLY under it.  The blue Tracker has (Jeff's) 1 1/2" coil spacers in front and 2" spacers in the rear.  Both have strut extensions and crown vic shocks on the rear of them.    It may be a little difficult to see a difference in this oblique pic but the blue tracker sets only 1/2" higher.   The ride on both is very good, but I gotta say I prefer the OME set-up.  Probably would like it more with a set of the longer OME struts on the front.  Both trucks had new struts installed at the time of the lift so their ride is as "close to factory" as they have seen for several years. Both have Sean's AFTERMARKET4X4 skids on them as well.

In either case, for those of you contemplating between going with one of the two options, you can see what affect both set-ups have on the trucks.  These trucks just LOOK better with some air under them, let alone the fact the height keeps parts out of harms way better.  Can't feel any significant difference in their handling.

Of course I like the blue one.  A point to keep in mind is, my kit is $120, how much is the OME??

Not knockin your goods, Jeff.  I have had no problem with your coil spacers and the service was great.  I have about 24K on the coil lift now.

I spent $50 for a set of BDS strut extenders (last year) and $40 for a pair of crown vic shocks.  At the time I bought your coils spacers I paid $80 as I recall... so I had around $170 in the parts for the coil spacer lift.  I went ahead and put new struts on the front because the OEMs were toast (another $140).  Got a half inch more lift out of the coil spacer lift over just the OME springs alone.

Bought the set of OME coils for $300.00 plus $50 for shipping, and another $40 for the crown vic shocks plus the $50 for the set of BDS strut extenders (bought last year) on the front... so spent about $440 for the other lift... although I also replaced the front struts (another $140) on the red one because they were smoked as well.

 

I knew you were not knocking my stuff. I was just curious how much the OME kit cost complete.

I think back now when I bought my first sidekick in 1994 (a 1991 4 door JX with a 5 spd) ... it had 35K on it when i bought it (with a salvage title) and I drove that beast until it had 230-240K on it and I never replaced a shock or a strut on it!  Looking back they had to be more than smoked, but that was the best damned little truck and I've kicked myself for selling it and the little '94 2-door kick I had afterwards that I sold with only 80K on it!  I find out now that the '91 had that rare 5:38 ring and pinion in it too!!!   I keep meaning to check with the people who bought it to see what they did with it after they burnt the engine up.  It may well be sitting in their back yard some where just rusting.  It had a Calmini header on it  that would still be useful to someone too.

So with Jeff's 2" lift spacers, and a 2" body lift, would 31x10.50's be a feasible option on 15x7's with 3.75" backspacing?

Do you make the spacer for the strut mount as well? I'm thinking I may as well go with longer struts but depending on price I may just space it out.

Yes I make the strut spacers. Here are a couple pics of the spacers and my 97 4dr. with the kit on it.

Did anyone running the 2" spacers have issues getting the front end aligned? The a-arms are shorter than a Sidekick so the camber would be affected more.

Olija, just so you know, my coil spacers will fit your Vitara but the strut spacers will not. The strut spacers are made to fit up 98 sidekicks and trackers.
