Sn0vv, I haven't heard of any of our local P-N-Ps not wanting to separate the license holders.  I guess I can see their point though.  I've taken rear door parts off 1st generation trucks several times (handle assemblies) in the past however, I haven't attempted to grab one for a 2nd gen truck yet.  I just never thought about needing one, but now that you mention it, I'll check one of these out  next week to see if they will part with them separately.  I have seen several of these on the trucks in our local yards though.  Do you know how many hundreds of dollars Chevy is wanting for a new one?

Does anyone on here know if there is a difference between the 4 and 2 door license plate holders?  Are they inter-changable?

There shouldn't be a difference between the 2 and 4 door models.  I'm surprised you're having a hard time finding one, I got an entire assembly from my local u-pull-it yard.
