Cragar wheels
« on: November 29, 2009, 10:45:27 AM »
I'm looking to buy new wheel for my Vitara .
The goal is to install winter tires  my GV steel wheels, install my BFG AT on new wheels and flush the original Vitara steel wheels who make look tire very far inside.

Some Cragar wheels have good measurements,5X139,7mm bolts pattern, 16X7, 4" backspacing, almost same as Grand Vitara steel wheel I already have.

And they are suggested on some sites to fit on Vitara 2004.

But what about the center bore?

There is no mention anywhere about that.

I want to be sure wheels will not be spported by lugs only.

Cragar wheels I'm looking for (in dimensions described above):
- 342 series in black with the red lines

or

- 397 series, in black

EDIT: My Vitara is silver with black fender flares...

If I am understanding your question correctly... the info about the wheels indicates the center for these rims are 4.25" in diameter.  Should work for the front end.  It is the lug nuts that seat the rim on the wheel studs and center the rim on the rotor so even if there were a degree of "slop" this would eliminate any wheel movement or wobble.

That sounds good!

I never thought to look at center cap diameter for these wheels.  :-[

It's a very good indication. Thanks!

I just measured the center diameter of my GV wheels: 4,25"  :)

So, I just have to find a place in Canada to buy them.
