I wanting to run 31's on my 02 v6 gv and am wondering what lift I'll need to keep the smooth stock ride. I'm wanting mostly for looks ,and won't be doing any serious wheelin. any info would be great.

Well, I am new and haven't lifted mine yet, but I am making plans for it so I will tell you what I know.  According to Calmini you can run 235/75/r15 (about 29") tires with their 2.5" suspension lift.  So you will probably need a  body lift too, since noone offers a bigger lift for the GV.

I have seen people claim that they run 235s with a 1"-1.5" coil spacer lift and have little to no rubbing issues so Calmini may be a bit conservative.

Rocky Road Outfitters offers a combo 4" lift (2" suspension, 2" body lift)

This lift also uses Old Man Emu springs and struts which are supposedly the best riding suspensions for Suzuki's.

To get it to fit I put 2" tough dog springs and a 1" Body lift

According to Calmini you can run 235/75/r15 (about 29") tires with their 2.5" suspension lift.

Shoot, the stock tires are 27", and a 29" is only 1" larger in RADIUS.  I think you should be able to run a 29 with no lift at all!  Not that I'm going to try it on my wife's GV...  

On the XL-7s (which are basically just the extended version) with the Rocky Road coil spacers you can run a 235/75/16 (29.1) with no problems.

With the Calmini 2.5 you fit a 245/75/16 (= to 31x9.5) with minor modifications to the front wheel well. Just bending over the pinch weld at the floor pan and trimming a little plastic inside at the front.

I am currently working on getting 32s under my rig (265/75/16) I have the Calmini 2.5 and I will be installing the Rocky Road 2" body lift and replacing the bumpers with hi-clearance steel bumpers, OME struts, etc...

You can follow it in the XL-7 group. Plus I will be writing up some "how-tos" soon. Most should translate pretty good to the GV as well as I have a 2001 model and they really are closer to each other than say the '05 models.

The RRO 4.5" lift claims you can run 31(without butchering your ride).  I have 4 inches of lift and I can only run a dissapointing 30" tires without tire rubbing.  After spending all that money I hate it when people cant tell I lifted my vehicle.
