It's not the wheeling that sucks so much gas, it's getting there.
I get 10 MPG pulling a hill with stock gears and 33" Swampers.
I know when I swap gears to the 5:83s I will pick up some more MPG
but I never got more than 23 MPG bone stock brand new, and that was
cruising less than 65 freeway. Average miles per tank - 200 and you
need gas bad, hope there is a station someplace close, so to be safe,
we always stopped at about 150 miles and filled up. this equals stopping
for gas about every 3 hours, which is fine for the women folk, but every
time you stop add 1/2 hour to the arrival time... *sigh* takes forever
to get someplace like that.
