steel 3rd members??
« on: October 05, 2003, 03:17:45 PM »
i just blew a hole the size of a half dollar in my third member along with some complementary cracks running here and there(pics up soon). now its time to look for a solution, gv 3rd members? are they better than the stock units and can you use the 3rd mem. with the stock front differential? any help would be excellent, i dont want to have to replace it again, thats why im thinking about the steel gv 3rd member.

price wise they go for $250 to $500 so take some time to call around. In my neck of the woods the whole front  axle went for $500 and that was the cheapest I could find in a hurry. Remember that your looking for  something off a 99 to 2001 GV and to get the whole front axle and ditch the guts or sell them on Ebay.Theres a write up on Zukiworld and its is pretty easy and a lot stronger than the stock one. Good luck.
