I run 235X75 15. Lemans ATs on the standard nice alloy wheels and they dont rub except a very little bit on full right hand lock, and then only a very little. Same on backing but a bit more rubbing. No mods on the truck
(2dr model)
It is important to know the actual diameter of the tires rather than just the numbers. Also the width and type of tread. I have found differences up to 2 inches between brands and models. Mine measure 28.5 in diameter, with about 7.75 width in tread, AT tread, not too aggressive in the shoulders.
I added 2" of body lift and I can see I could easily go to 30 or maybe 31 diameter. I will prbably go to 30" with a wider more aggresive tread tire when I wear these down.
By the way my alloy 5.5 width rims hold the tires perfectly and I have put them through some moderate to severe stresses off road, in soft sand and mud but, not on rocks.
Then there is all the issues about back spacing on the rims that affects all of the other dimensions.
