Am I correct that you only moved out the back control arm hole and left the front alone?

I went back and read it again and answered my own question on this one.

Yes, you only move the rear.

Also, when your making your stronger CV shafts, you use a 3 bolt inner shaft.  Was this because you didn't have a left side shaft for the inner joint?  Or was there another reason.

Next, I'm trying to remember what you said about the Nissan shafts you used.  

I'm planning on going with the Anvil and going to upgrad my shafts.  So I'll already have the 3 bolts on either side of the axil.  I know the Nissan shafts are a little longer than the Fords Ranger so would either side have to be shimed?

And if you had to compair the two shafts to gather is the Nissan shaft that much better?  I know it has a better inner CV angle but with the limiting factor of the strut has this been a problem with the Ford axils?

Yes, that is correct. It widens the front, moves the spindle forward some, and changes the castor angle.

Thanks Eric,  At the time I first read it I was at the end of a lot of computer time.  Reread it this morning and got a lot more out of it the second time.

The reason for the 3 sided shaft was to keep both sides the same. Only one spare this way.

The nissan shaft is stronger but far more rare. So far the only shaft I can find to fit is from the Left front of a 95 Nissan maxima v6 5 speed without Anitlock and no limited slip diff. Other year Maximas have the same spline count and can be good donor parts (as long as its a 5 speed) but the shafts are too long. I thought the 01 Altima had the right length shaft but I lost my measurements and need to double check that.

The Ford shafts are  inbetween Tracker and maxima strength level but are far easier to make and find. We only have one rig running the ford shafts and he has not been wheeling much lately, so I do not have any  long term info on this axle. We pretty much search hard for the Maxima ones.

How about using the rear half shafts from a Honda CRV...they look pretty stout LOL ;)

The ends need to be cut the same as the Strengthen CV artical. The front end also needs to be widend.
