With a lot of progress being made my recently I thought it would be a good idea to actually document some of what was going on.

After an engine death, a wife deciding we needed a real car for a daily driver and the purchase of a wrecked Cobalt SS my old Tracker has seen some changes.

2.4L 4cyl Ecotech
Toyota 5-speed and T-Case
84 Toyota Axles
FJ-60 Steering Box
35" Mickey Thompson
Barnes 4x4 3-Link front and rear

Some pictures from the Panhard bar installation. 

The steering box is a forward steer vs the traditional rear steer.  This was done due to how far we had to slide the axle forward to clear the oil pan on the Ecotech 2.4l. We ended up sliding the axle forward about 7" and cut out the inner fender wells to switch to a flat fender style front end. 

And a shot of the travel with the 3-link installed.  24" upper and lower links, this is about 12" of travel. 



Having a lift really makes welding a lot easier.



And the brackets from Barnes 4x4 are plenty heavy duty enough for pretty much any application.
