Samurai Speedo in Track/Kick Cluster?
« on: February 21, 2004, 06:12:02 PM »
Just like the title says, does anyone know if a Samurai Speedo will plug into a sidekick cluster? Or A sidekick speedo in a sammy case?

I was just thinking about this tonight considering we plan on the OTT Kicker 3 setup, and will be ordering it this week. Since the back portion of the Kick case will be coming off (the portion that the speedo attaches to) we will obviously have to use the speedo in the Sammy case.

Anybody know?

I don't see why you can't just move the cable over to the samurai case, it should just plug right in.  if it is not raining bad I will look at my 4 door and my samurai for ya. Dennis.

I checked out the dash part they look the same just push on and it clicks tight, the samurai x-fer case part it pushes in after first removing a small bolt on the side, the 4 door I have is too low to get under and it was raining out but you should be able to look at yours easyer and let me know what it looks like and the samurai one plugs in on the drivers side aiming twards the low side of the frame or lower, hope this helps.!

The plug into the sami case is different. Am I to understand this correctly? The Sami cable plugs into a tracker dash pod? Did you actually plug it in or just guessing. Im very interested in this info also.

Hey guys, it would be really neat if anyone had information on this! :) I want to make sure if one or the other will plug into one or the other, and that it will work correctly!!

I really appreciate all your effort!

Heather, remember my black sammy? It had a kick trans & t-case with the stock sammy instrument cluster with a kick speedo cable. The only question about this application is, my kick speedo cable was out of a 90 kick, don't know if the 95 is different or not. Anyone know if there is a difference with different years of kick?

Hey mrfuelish..

did you try this out yet?

I am still interested in knowing, as my kicker 3 will probably be back to me the end of next week.

Thanks again!

Ok, just got back in, it worked great, I pluged my 88 samurai cluster into the 94 4 door speedo cable and it looks like it was made for it, fit great and even came back off the way it should, hope this helps.
