Uh, I remember 0.29 per gallon, back in the mid 60's.
Thought it was insane paying 0.75 a gallon in the mid 70's.   :o

I remember going on a trip to Florida with the family and Mom freaking out because we had to pay 1.00 a gallon. She was so pissed, that if it was not for Dad, she would of turned around and went home :o

forget the alt fuel kit....bug them to come up with a larger capacity light weight plastic fuel tank.  my tracker would get awesome fuel economy if it's tank were bigger than a milk carton.

Shoot, if you have a 2-door, and you have a body lift, there's plenty of room to put in a tank from a 4-door, I think, plus raise it as well.

2-door:  11.1 Gallons
4-door:  14.5 Gallons

If that's not enough, go to some place like http://www.summitracing.com/ and order a fuel cell, that'll fit between the rails...

GV:  17.5 gallons ;D

Of course, the V6 gets only 20 mpg on a good day.  And due to the fine detail work from rocks, my tank now holds just over 15 gals. >:(

Dang, Tim - Mrs. Bobzooki's GV gets 23 consistently, and she drives about a million miles an hour...  But she's not swinging big meats either...
