I installed power steering unit from an 88 Toyota PK. It was a lot of work and had to build an inside frame but I really like it. I later found a Nissan Truck unit which would have been a piece of cake to install because the steering unit mounts on top of the frame. I guess it depends on how much sweat you want to put into it. Hope this helps!

I believe that any of the tracker/sidekick power steering will work as long as its a 16v engine so its 93 on the 4 door and 95 on on the 2 door. there are spare steering assembles out there used.

The pumps and steering boxes are the same for all 89-98 trackicks (doesn't matter if they have the 1.6 8V or 1.6 16V engine, or whether they are 2wd or 4wd). It is the pump bracket that offsets the pump differently between the 1.6 8Vs and the 1.6 16Vs.
There are some variations on where the reservoirs mount...but it shouldn't be too hard to mount a reservior, if it isn't a direct bolt on for yours.
There are some variations on steering shafts (the shaft from the firewall shaft to the steering box shaft). But they should all be the same length and bolt up fine, for all 89-98 trackicks.

So the simplest thing to do would be to get a complete power steering assembly (steering box with pitman arm and steering shaft, lines, reservoir, and pump with bracket) from a 92-98 1.6 16V trackick (sidekick/tracker). It will be a bolt on deal (except for possibly the reservoir) which should be easy to mount.
Oh, you will also need to double row crank pulley, if yours doesn't already have one on it. The double pulley off any 89-98 trackick with the 1.6 engine will work.

Note, do not get a power steering set up from a 96-98 sidekick sport with the 1.8 engine....it is a different set up than what you need.
