Howdy folks,
My name's Malystryx (pseudonym), I live in NC, and am the ambivalent owner of a '94 Zuki Sidekick 4-door. It's rusty, maybe trusty, and Definitely doesn't have a working gauge cluster. I'll get to that last part in a moment. Otherwise, it's my daily beater. It has a cheapo suspension lift and 30's on it. It's obviously seen a lot of action over the years.
Well, the problem is, the gauge cluster doesn't work... kinda. The original cluster had some issues internally, so I bought a used one. Welp... they're different. Time for a quick visual.
the back of my original cluster looks like this:
and the new one I installed looks like this:
Obviously a bit different. Being the overconfident yahoo I am, I decided that I would just re-pin it so it works. Wellll... I kind of succeeded. not really. now none of the gauges function properly. speedo reads random speeds (it needs a new speedo cable), tach doesn't read anything, gas gauge reads always full, temp works... kinda, you get the picture.
Anyway, after exhaustive research, and comparing more than one conflicting wiring diagram, I'm completely lost. Would someone please do me a great favor, and take a clear picture of the wiring on the back of their gauge cluster, because obviously I don't know which wire goes where.
P.S. I hate wiring.
P.P.S. Oh! at least the tripometer and odometer work!
