OK so first off I've used this forum as a guide for so many things on my Sami, so thank you for all the good info. I've got an 88.5 Samurai JX. the motor sounds and runs great, the transmission, not so much. I've got about 2 inches (probably less) of clutch, and it rattles until I press the clutch down, I do  have a brand new clutch I've got to put in tomorrow. The issue I'm having is everything is fine up until about 4500 rpms, at that point I've got a marble in a coffee can kinda sound. It doesn't keep time with the motor. I've checked for loose wires by the fan, rocker arms, water pump, timing belt and tensioner, and the full exhaust is new. It sound slide it's coming from under the truck when I'm driving but I can't really tell. Any help would be appreciated..

Well I figured I'd update, I just dropped the tranny and it's toast. Something in the clutch came apart and chewed that up, and there were a few teeth on the drain plug. My tranny fluid looks like an 80s house of color paint there's so many flakes in it. I've got a line on a used tranny that works for $65 so hopefully that'll be going in tomorrow.
