My turbo is limited to 6/7 lbs and I run it on a COMPLETELY stock engine, other than bigger injectors and alc/h20 injection. I'm running 32x11.5 BFG AT KO's through an auto trans with 5.12 final gearing. Pulls like a raped ape on boost, never a lack of power, and I can still average around 22/23 mpg, but I have to use premium. Now that it's all said and done there has been enough development of turbo setups for the 16V that knowledge of what and how is readily available. I built my own manifold and experimented with parts until I got a reliable setup. Now you can use our experience to almost bolt one together. IMO, you would still need to correct your final gearing though, either via the Undertaker or a couple of diff sets. If you make enough power to turn those 33's without the proper gearing, your probably making enough power to start breaking things. jmho.
