I have a 1991 Geo Tracker 4x4
Hey guys - Last night I was replacing the automatic shifter base (plastic piece that shows what gear you are in) and as I lifted up the plastic center console, I noticed that there was an aftermarket cigarette lighter charger thing (possibly used to plug in accessories?) As I went to move it out of the way, it gave me a big spark - I tried to turn on the Tracker but all the electrical is dead. I ended up pulling the after market lighter thing and a red positive wire came out from under the dash and noticed that the neg wire was grounded to the metal retaining part for the plastic center console. Tried looking up in there, and man, I cannot find where there positive came from.
I lifted up the hood an noticed there looked to be a fusible link hooked up to the positive side of the battery (like a samurai). Trackers don't have a fusible link correct? I checked all my fuses - everything ok - checked my battery 12v - Do you think it's this fusible link thing??
HELP!
