Rear shocks with lift

Rear shocks with lift

I plan on getting a Jeffs 2 inch coil spacer lift but not sure what rear shocks to get. I also want to try xl 7 coil springs in the back to stiffen it up a bit.   I'm thinking about getting the RRO or pro comp shocks? Any input would be great! What is everyone else using?

 2000 and later model year Crown Vic shocks are a common replacement shock for 2" lifts.  Inexpensive and provide a good ride.  You can buy more expensive ones, they are out there.  Guess it depends on what you have to spend, what you want to spend and what your intended use will be.  The Crown Vics work fine for most applications.  There are others on the market, as you are aware.
If you aren't sure, save your money until you know.  It's so easy to buy one thing only to discover a month later what you thought you wanted and bought is not what you really needed and you end up spending more money on the same parts which takes away from other purchases for your truck.

i have the jeff 2" lift an running 33" tires. i bought two brand new stock shocks and added a 2" sleeve to the top part to match the 2" lift. after a 5000km they are both gone. i bet my 33" tires are just too heavy for them. i am thinking of putting on the crown victoria interceptor ones as that car is heavy and built for the cops to drive the hell of it. i am thinking of the xl7 spring as well, as wen loaded with camping gear it sags a whole lot

the Doestechs from low range are cheaper and i'm happy with them.  I got ones a little bit longer due tothe xl7 springs i have in the rear and it worked out really well.  Added a lot of flex but also stiffness when needed. I posted the model number on here somewhere but i can post it again if you like.

i use 94 mustang shocks, i moved my shock mounts up about an inch though but it wasn't 100% necessary to do that, they bolt on perfect no sleeve swaps or anything needed

Well I decided on using rancho 5158 shocks. The only problem with them so far is I had to put a sleeve in for the bottom bolts. I haven't installed them yet, hopefully over the weekend I'll be installing my Jeffs 2" spacer kit
