Crank holder tool

Well I decided to do the oil and water pumps along with the timing belt and found my air impact had grown wings and my Dewalt electric cord impact was too big to fit, so I fabbed up this little crank holder tool with a scrap piece of steel. Worked like a champ! A 2' breaker bar and a 3' piece of pipe loosened up the crank bolt!

Nice. I tried using a screw driver wedged in the screws and ended up destroying the gear. Luckily I had a spare one sitting in a box.

Quick and easy to make with a cutoff wheel, grinder, a metal scribe, a centering punch and a drill, took about an hour working at a sloths pace.
