Wet Start
« on: May 27, 2012, 04:36:16 PM »
Some time ago I was having trouble starting the Kick when
it was wet.... With great suggestions, I pulled the DS taillight
and removed the plug and soldered the wires together.

This seemed to help....

But now it's back.....

Only after a rain. The Kick will fire and run for a few seconds and die.

The fuel pump can be heard, as is the relay.

After 30 or 40 of these attempts, it fires up and runs fine.

When it's dry out, never a problem.

Confused.

Completely stock....

What wiring is behind the passenger tail? Other than
the light of course.

Like I said, when it won't start well, the fuel pump runs
OK and I hear the relay as well.
