What is the best way to start a build page? I'm not sure if I'm going to do the boost solenoid.
So you are using the speed density! Are you using the narrowband O2 sensor only? I'm going to us the speed density and stock 1995 distributor and single MAP sensor. If I remember, you aren't using a second MAP Sensor. I was thinking of using the one MAP sensor for boost and barometric correction. We hunt at high elevation, I will be using wide band so might not need it?? Are you running stock injectors, if so what duty cycle at 150 kpa? Thanks!

The other forum under build diary i mean.  Well read up on the solenoid.  If your using a bleed type now for wastegate, the solenoid will add a lot of tuneability.  You can adjust wastegate across a table similar to the fuel/spark. IE fully closed in lower rpms to build boost faster.  I just suggest that you add whatever mods you will eventually want.  Its a pita trying to re-add wiring for those add-ons down the road.  Like now I wish I had installed the wiring for the meth injection.  It would save me from having to open up all my wire looms again.

Im really not sure which of those settings i have.  Its only using the 1 bar map sensor in MS, the wide-band 02, TPS, Coolant, and IAT sensors to run the engine.

You may run into heat soak problems with the stock IAT... although maybe the newer version of MS is better.  I recently installed my IAT up near the bumper which isn't ideal.  Under the hood i was getting IAT temps of 140F trying to tune my boost areas of the fuel maps.  This was giving me headaches since the sensor is not the fast acting type as some turbo guys suggest.  Im also not running an intercooler so I was forced to mount mine at the throttle body. 

Looking at a megalog, at 149kpa (7psi) duty cycle shows 50%.  Doesn't sound correct to me though. Oh and just for fun figures:
2600rpm I start building boost, MAP = 100
2750rpm MAP 121 (3psi)
2900rpm MAP 139 (5.6psi)
3100rpm MAP 153 (7.6psi)

This is a T25 from a 2.0ltr Saab  .48/.48 ...also consider thats just one snap shot.  Engine under more/less load.  I see another area where boost started at 2200rpms and others higher at 3000.

I'm worried about heat soak too. I cut a hole above the turbo and put an ABS scoop on it. I plan to put an ointthaercooler on real soon! 
That is the same sensor setup I'm going to use! The duty cycle does seem a little low! I'm thinking close to the throttle body is a good place to mount it. More accurate I suppose. I'm hoping my kit will be here Friday!

Sure... I am looking forward to see yours installed and sharing info.  Where did you get the scoop from?  Do you have any pix?  I decided against intercooling initially as I was lowest rpm spool as possible. At some point I will add the water/meth injection.

I still had heat soak with mine mounted right at the Tbody.  Another possible location would be tapping the passenger side of the intake manifold.  It wouldn't be "over" the engine and far from the turbo.  Most intercooled guys put it just after the intercooler side of the intake piping.

My maps are pretty dialed yeah.  Engine pulls very strong at WOT and doesn't lean out.  Again... I haven't tuned between the 150-180kpa line.

I would definitely suggest the wideband.  That is the only real tuning tool you will have.

Another source for T25's are the 2nd gen Eclipse/Talon, just be carefull at the junkyards etc as the T25 is the first thing upgraded as it is substantally undersized for a 2.0L high rpm engine.



Look at 02'+ thru 08' Honda Kseries engines for a IAT, Accords, Elements, CivicSi, AcuraRSX, TSX all have the same IAT that works great with boost.

I got rid of the IAC on mine ('95 donor).  I wanted to clean up the intake some.  Idles great.  Im jealous you wont have to go through the external wiring that i had to!

Have you looked at my build page or website?

I have a 3-wire Hall sensor for input.  Output to the stock dizzy.

Im not sure how you would go about it with PNP and not having to do the wiring part under the hood.  Where does the PNP kit get the spark signal... the stock CAS and internal hall pickup in the dizzy?

I would love your base tune! I ordered the straight thru DB9 cable and I need the one with USB on one end! I will do that tonight or tomorrow! a base tune would be good though, this is a lot of reading and my Multiple Sclerosis has my vision messed up. I will look at your build!

..I hear yah.  Not sure what all you have to wire but that was 1/2 my battle.  I used my tracker wiring harness only for the plugs.  I ordered the external wire loom from DIY and ran everything.

I have my MSQ file on my website.  You'll have to go into to it and export the timing and fuel tables.... or whatever else you want/need.

I'm having a heck of a time with fuel table. Imbtrying to get the parameters for the turbo and such. Do I need to do that in megatune? Or can I do it in tuner studio? where are you getting all of the turbo tuning?
