Hold it!!!!!!!!!

Is that a "Cast Iron" exhaust manifold? All the ones I've seen up here in the Great White North have a tube type exhaust manifold that looks alot like a Calmini header!

Zag

That's what us USAans got when we went to the dealership to pick up a new one...

I've heard tell that broken cast iron manifolds were common on the early 1.6 engines.  Around 1994, they changed from what is pictured to an even beefier cast iron unit, which is what I bought on eBay.  Me and the muffler shop were able to "adapt" it to the rest of the exhaust system with a matching downpipe (Thanks Hawk's!), a new cat and a length of pipe.

The older manifold (pictured above) had a two-pipe downpipe that reduced to a single pipe where it attached to the cat.
