I first had a black '96 Tracker, then traded up to a new '03 exactly identical to yours (mine was 5-speed), so I know where you're coming from.  I peeled off the splashy "ZR-2" stickers as soon as I got it home.  I loved the stock wheels, but the 15" wouldn't fit when I did the drivetrain upgrade.

To answer your earlier question, there are significant differences between the Track-Kick (like your '95) and Track-Vit (like your new one) trucks so, outside of some differential bits, not much is interchangeable.  The aftermarket is still stronger for the older models, but it's slowly coming around for the later generation.

I liked how light the '96 felt, but the newer truck is so much quieter and smoother that I really do like it a lot more...even when it was stock.

Upgrade your stereo and speakers, just a little.  Nothing expensive.  You'll appreciate it.
'03 ZR2 2dr Tracker, '02 XL-7 drivetrain and electrcs
XL-7 front coils
1.5" rear coil spacers
Monroe 32316 shocks w/2" extenders
235/70-16 Bridgestone Destination A/Ts on stock XL-7 Alloys RRO Rock Rails (Presently removed, as they rusted to all hell; all the bolts were rusted to dust.  Real nice, RRO...) http://www.trivia-nights.com

Hi, I'm from Canada, I picked up a beat up Sidekick from a girl in Montreal, she planted it in a light pole and probably her dad fixed it cause its been really poorly repaired.  And to top it all it was canary yellow...

Got a new hood, grill and a fiberglass top, changed tires and rims and more most of all, the color...

It ain't much for now but I will be installing a homemade 3" bodylift Kit, fixing the rust and holes in the floor mainly, new driving/fog lights and if I have the time a new set of bumpers

Thank you for your time :)
