Well... I Used this topic plenty when researching various stuff before modifying mine, so i thought i'd try and help a bit here too!

So... just an update really, i finally got my new tyres! After a long wait saving! So i took her for a photo shoot on the sunny Cliffs of Guernsey!

Quick spec...

A stock '94 Vitara (sidekick/tracker) 8valve with...
-De cat-pipe / Calmini cat-back exhaust
-2" Coil Spacers
-Shock/strut extensions to match
-3" Calmini bodylift
-32x11.50x15" BFG MTs on...
-15x7" TSW alloys

Rubbing tyres?  -  Had to cut about an inch off the back of the front fenders, but very minor rub at full lock offroad on the chassis... and tight, but suprisingly no rub at the rear!

Gearing?  -  Stock...! but working well, not going to change it! Drives fine on and offroad, plenty slow enough offroad!

Andy
Hope I'm of help to someone! :)
UK Vitara - 2" spring/shock spacers, 3" calmini body lift, 32x11.5x15" BFG MTs, rear half calmini exhaust/no cat, full Alpine ICE

sorry guys,i'm a toyota man at heart and after building my bosses sami, i decided i needed to do something with this little jewel. we do have another one laying around the yard that will be built in to a bigger wheeler.

RocDoc's Ride:

1988 Samurai tintop, stock engine & axles.
5 inch SPOA Lift
Over-the-top steering
Panhard kit
Long-travel rear suspension & shocks
Tires:  Firestone Destination M/T, 30x9.50x15--these are Fantastic!
Wheels:  15x7 chrome 8-spoke, 2.5 inch backspace.  I like the wide stance.

Future:  Probably 4:1 transfer case gears--it runs out of OOMPH too easily, but gets me on every road I try so far.

Couple of photos:

First one taken looking from Beaverhead Mtns to Diamond Peak in the Lemhi's, Idaho's 3rd highest peak just over 12,000 ft.  Taken July, 2007

free toyota amblem on grill: "PRICELESS"

sorry guys,i'm a toyota man at heart and after building my bosses sami, i decided i needed to do something with this little jewel.

You can scratch "Leo Tolstoy" off your copy of War and Peace and scrawl  "JK Rowling" on it, but it's still a Tolstoy.  Tell yourself what you want, but your (good) choice in vehicle says you're one of us now.
'03 ZR2 2dr Tracker, '02 XL-7 drivetrain and electrcs
XL-7 front coils
1.5" rear coil spacers
Monroe 32316 shocks w/2" extenders
235/70-16 Bridgestone Destination A/Ts on stock XL-7 Alloys RRO Rock Rails (Presently removed, as they rusted to all hell; all the bolts were rusted to dust.  Real nice, RRO...) http://www.trivia-nights.com
