« on: February 07, 2012, 07:38:08 PM »
I recently bought a sammi and i need some help. i pulled my rear axles and there was no seals. can someone tell me where the seals should be and is it just one? all i have on my axle is the bearing which would explain why its leaking.

The seals are in the housing end where you pulled the axle out of, not on the axle shaft itself. ;D

shouldnt there be one on both sides of the axle bearing on being mounted on the plate before you install your bearing on the axle, the other in the housing? there was no seals in the housing which i suspected one. which would explain how so much mud and water was in my housing

if you go into the water with a warm housing it will draw water in, I took the breather caps off of mine and ran hose's under the dash (yes it smells when hot) but I stop and have lunch before going across a river.
