89' 1.6
Tracker has been sitting for several years. I am not getting fuel to the TBI. Any suggestions on what to check? Going th swap filter first and go to pump after that. I do not hear the fuel pump kick on when key is turned on. Are there any FP relays I need check or other common related issues? Also is there online FSM available that covers the 89' model?

You should hear the main relay and fuel pump relay switch on key on. I would start by checking the fuses and then the relays, you can swap the fuel pump and main relay to check the main relay.

are you getting no fuel from the injector or are you getting no fuel pressure period? if you haven't already checked for pressure then pull the return line and turn the key on and see if fuel comes out.
if you are getting fuel but no injector pulse check all the fuses. after that check to see if you are getting spark (if you get no spark on these motors it will cut the fuel).

I am getting spark, I can get it to run on either and by pour fuel into the TBI. Looks like I am not getting fuel to the TBI.

Quickest way to check the fuel pump is to make up a set of wires to use as jumpers to hotwire the fuel pump bypassing the chassis wiring.

First, check the ground behind the left tailight. Should be two wires on the same screw on the inner fender. One is the fuel pump, the other is the fuel level sender. It needs to be clean & snug... & ofc the wires to it in good shape.
The '89/90 does not prime the fuel pump for 3 seconds like later models, but as said, you should hear the relays click when you turn the key.

I have been messing with this truck most of the day, I cut the back of the floor out to access top of fuel tank. I have power to the pump when cranking engine over, no fuel coming out. So I am thinking bad fuel pump. But this seems weird to me, as soon as you quit cranking....key in "run" position, no power to pump.....is this normal? I also raun a jumper wire from battery to the FP red wire connection and no fuel is coming out of line, I unhooked line connection at top of tank.
I have the CEL on, I have clicking noise from FP relay.
Power on when cranking is being determined by a probe tester, not a meter(dont have one yet).

As was said earlier....the 89/90s only run the fuel pump when the engine is cranking over (and when running, of course).  When you turn the key to "run", the fuel pump does not run for 3 seconds, like on the later trackicks.

With the trackick setting for several years, it is a good bet the fuel pump is froze up.  Seems like it only takes a couple of years for the pumps to lock up from non-use.

With you being right there at the tank, you should definitely be able to hear the pump run when you "hot wire" it.

Will be dropping tghe tank, clean it up a nd install new pump and see how it goes.

did you actually pull the return line from the tbi and crank it over to see if fuel came out? check that before pulling things apart and buying new stuff. if you get fuel coming from the return line when you crank it then you have a problem with the injector.

I opened the line at the fitting on top of the tank coming out of the pump, no fuel comes out there.
