I just replaced the injectors in my Dodge Ram for $125, I bought the 4 hole Bosch units off eBay, took about 20 minutes to install them. My fuel rail has a valve similar to a tire, I bled it and then pulled them out. You could have cracked O-rings, my truck in an 03 with 80K miles and I changed them, it just restores power, I see a better fuel economy but before I had to spray starting fluid in to get it to run, must have been cheap gas or crap in the lines. keep in mind carbureted vehicle's are relatively low pressure like 6 pounds, fuel injection can be 60 or more, I guess you could pull the rail, use clear water bottles and keep turning key on to prime them and see if any do not have a nice mist or if they leak. I bought new ones just because I was getting single digit fuel economy now I get 13, that was about a 40% increase for the cost of a tank of gas, your in a much different situation than me.
