I tell ya what, if this intake works good, i'll build u one FREE. then send plans to a vendor for everyone else.

Is that addressed to me ?  I appreciate the offer but I don't have a 1.6 SideKick - I have a J20A engined Vitara - 2.0 litre 16v, DOHC with multiport injection, the throttlebody is heated but not the manifold itself.

yeah, that was for u.  if it dont work, then I can always put the stock one back on.  but if it does, then Ill send one to a vendor and they can have them made for everyone else.  I love doing prototype stuff.  helps to have a couple cnc mills too!!   ;)

VWs air cooled engine used exhaust to heat the manifold and keep it from freezing up.  :)

didn't they also use exhaust heat to "warm" the interiors too?

custom intake is gonna come after I get it built.  I ported a stocker and am making a spacer.  I am gonna ceramic coat the runners inside on the ported stocker.  I wanna see what it does with that first and use the engine I have in my kick as the template when I design some other stuff.  I promise there will be pics.
