Pretty interesting design.  I wonder how the street manners are compared to the lunchbox lockers. 

As far as price, since it comes with a new carrier, I would bet it would start around $400-$500.

Yep, the price of an ARB diff.  Except with the ARB you still need the pump, have air line reliability issues, engagement fun etc.

Never had any air line reliability issues with my ARB's. 4 years running.

I think it all depends on where you wheel.  Here in NE OK we have a lot of wooded, muddy trails & low water crossings with small sticks/logs that tend to get stuck up in the undercarriage. I've seen fuel lines ripped out, plastic fuel filters broken etc, Of course, it was all on Jeeps.  . Although I have had branches lodged between the body/frame etc. 

I've wheeled my Tracker in lots of nasty conditions, New Jersey wetlands being only one of the places, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, NC, Pennsylvania, NY, and I'm probably forgetting a few, but when I set up my air lockers I payed attention to careful routing of the airlines, and covered them with plastic conduit, the kind used for wiring. Really, if set up well, Air Lockers are completely reliable.  jmo.

I imagine the wiring conduit helps to protect it to a good degree.  I'm actually seriously considering put in an ARB locker in the rear of one of my DD Samurais so it's not like I'm totally against them.  I just wish there was an electric locker or some other alternative to the ARB and various lunchbox designs.  I realize that there is that one mechanical design from the UK too, but the plastic diff cover and housing mods aren't exactly plusses.

Plastic diff cover?  Are you referring to the Kam locker?

Huh, it mentions they are looking at releasing a limited slip for the Samurai.  I wonder if it ever came out.

It's been a long time since I looked at it.  It looked plastic-like so that's how I remember it as.    

Well well....it looks like my memory wasn't bad afterall.  According to the instructions, the original came with a polycarbonate (plastic) cover, part SU1.

why cant we get a wireless electric yet? that would be sweet! and maybe Yukon will make a Suzuki zip locker soon. theres already Toyota ones out but no love for Suzuki guys....yet.

Not enough money in the Suzuki market.  Many Suzuki owners are so cheap, they rather weld up their spider/sidegears.
