Got the roof rack done so I can carry some gear up on top...
Other than that, I recently installed OME springs w/ longer rear 4runner shocks, new stereo w/ amp&sub, calmini belly plates, fire extinguisher, new windshield & rubber, CB & antenna, and herculined the interior...  I think she's about ready.  :)

Replaced the main rear seal on the crank.
The transmission fell off the jack and broke the shift cable, waiting on one from Hawk.

Hi guys,

I've been digging through the archive threads on the Fall Classic to see what kind of build it takes to complete the trails you guys are going to be on.  I really haven't come up with anything definiative.  How "built" does your rig have to be to either go on the Classic or tehe Moab safari?

I doubt that I will be able to make this years fall classic, as it's just too late for me to get my act togeather.  But I have for the most part finished my '11 GV with the things I plan to do to it.  Are big tires and a lift enough for a modern Suzuki to keep up with you guys on the trails you will travel on?  As I have only had this little truck for a few months, and I will need to keep this truck running adn in good shape for the next 7 years of ownership, I would prefer to keep body damage to a minimum.

You would be fine in your rig as it sits, so no needing to get your 'act together'  8) Last year I did the Classic in a bone stock 2000 4 door Tracker with highway radials. The only 'damage' was scratches from trail brush that buffed out with no problem. I did need to push it harder to do some of the sand stuff, but once I got use to running sand on smaller tires, it was fine.

How do the OME springs ride???

They are the medium duty 4dr springs and they ride amazing.  Nice and soft but firmer than stock.

x2.   Stock Suzuki is fine on the Fall Classic.   Moab is a different story...  :) Well, a stock Suzuki could handle parts of  Moab but there's a lot more potential for damage...

Thanks for the replies, guys.  I just wasn't quite sure what these trail runs look like.  I figured that a slightly modified truck would have no problem based on last years Fall Classic pictures and reports.  Snow looked like it was crazy.

Yep, I understand Moab is a different story.  I lived there when I was younger and know most of the trails are beyond what most stock rigs can tackle.  But that doesn't mean that the guys showing up with Suzukis will run those trails.  I'm not at a point where I can build a truck for Moab, but I always thought it would be fun to have a Sami built up for it.

I looked at it is too far for me to drive this year for the fall clasic.  Moab is doable for me in 1 day, but it is a good two day journey for me to Oregon.

Most people are form Washington and Oregon, but there are people form all over that show up for most every run; Canada, CA, ID, TN, FL etc....... I am the current holder for the longest drive home (2700 miles) and the longest round trip (6400 miles, flying), and it's worth every mile  8)
