turbo all the way. I'm guessing your talking about the chevy 4.3 ???? search it on here. I (and many others) think its a junk swap. big iron pig.blah,blah,blah.....

yea that's what i was thinking to the best point about suzuki's are that they are light and small (nimble) but that 4.3L vortec ruins it but on the other had i want to but long sas kit on with 34-35" and the 4.3L would leave me with more power options for that route thats the only thing that keeps throwing me off.

there are plenty other ways to make adequate power for a zuke. might have to think more or do some research but well worth it IMO.

the thought that a 4.3 is a cheap swap only applies to butch conversion's. I have seen this swap more times than I care to count and it has almost always ended up with a dust covered rig in the corner of a shop or scrap.

there is getting to be some great turbo resources for conversions on this board and others alike. go for it.

1.8l with a t4 to offroad? A t4 is quite large and you'll want the fast spool of a t25/t28/t3 for the low end it will provide offroading.

I in near the end of fully building my 1.6l 16v with custom forged rods, Honda d16 crankshaft, 75.5mm YCP Vitara pistons, PNP head milled .015" and worked block. End compression is calculated at 8.5:1 with my combo.

D16 guys run the rods/piston combo I'm running with slightly more compression pushing 300whp in Hondas and some shop cars are even running in the 450-500 whp range quite reliably so the option is there to move up in turbo size from the t25 I'm currently planning on running.

I built it to be strong, not have issues for a long time, and maintain being light weight.
