the timing light will come in handy when you reset your ignition timing, but it sounds like you are first gonna have to set your valve timing: the relationship btwn. crank and cam shafts.
that is by lining the crank sprocket with a mark on the oil pump(1.3L), the cam mark aligned w/a notch on the back belt cover piece(screwed to head) and install belt, adjust tensioner, adjust valves, reassemble everything else, set ign.time close enough to run, start.
this is where the timing light comes in.
