Replacement seats for Trackick
« on: May 01, 2011, 12:02:41 PM »
I am wanting to know what everyone has done for replacement seats for a Trackick.  Mine are not very comfy anymore and really could use some upgrading here.  I would love to see pics and looking for least amount of mods required to put in.

I have been looking at a few a/m brands, Bonz, Carbeau and Recaro(fell down in full heart attack mode w/ $$).  Also has anyone come up with a different rear seat to use.  My kids are getting old enough now that they actually weigh enough to have their butts hit the bottom side of the cushion.  Figure if I swap them all at once would be best.

Thanks

I was just thinking about this the other day, too after a long day in the driver's seat. Looking forward to some responses.

If your up for modifying the mounts it's a lot easier.  BRD HNTR swapped in some after-market seats, but we had to cut about 6" out of the mount and weld it back together.

I actually might have a line on some Polaris RZR seats, which would be cool. However, they don't recline, which would likely be an issue.

At that point you might as well just get some one piece seats.  I run EMPI High-Back RaceTrim seats in Project Trouble, they are pretty comfortable.

Nice. I think the RZR seats would be free, though.  8)

FREE is good, if they are comfortable.  I cut down my seat frames to make BOMZ seats fit. They are VERY comforatble, even after a full day 7 late evening in Moab, but they are just a pinch wide for the Tracker.  If I had a smaller center console the width would probably be just right??   Comfort rules, they stay for now.

I saw an add for the BOMZ seats and was really interested in them.  Mostly due to the cost factor of they are aprox. half the cost of most others that I have seen.  When you all were shortening the tracks were you cuttng length from them or height?  I have to have seats that will recline adjust and moving tracks are HIGHLY desired as my wife drives 50% of time.  Gotta keep momma happy and all.     Does anyone else have any pics of different stuff in their Trackick's.
