Tracker gender Issues
« on: April 18, 2011, 03:49:37 PM »
I bought a tracker 4x4 and now I have a boy and girl car each. I have a blue  Miata and a Pink  (94 Tracker). I was eplaining to my wife the boy / girl thing and was making pretty good headways until she offered the boy (blue Miata) was sort of a feminine car. Although the tracker is not exactly htte manliest vehicle.... is my miata gay and my tracker butch?

The Miata is girly, at least until you add some brass to it (5.0 swap, less shiny stuff) and the swoopy body curves and factory exhaust tone doesn't help either. The pink Tracker, well, even The Duke wore pink a couple of times, but, he also was a "man" by all accounts. Jack the Tracker up, better tires, little things like this, and you too, can be a "man" while being seen in pink. Or, simply move to San Francisco, where such questions aren't asked anymore, just accepted as who/what you are.

Have to agree with the wife that there is nothing manly about the Miata!  And the Tracker is only feminine cause its pink!

When I whacked an 8 pointer, and the only hood I could find after 3 months of searching was a Pink one, I fouund the solution pretty quickly.  $25 worth of Rustoleum Charcoal Gray in rattle cans did the Zuk, and the Zukamper to match.

I should admit ... that is miata #5 for me. Never did have a pnk car bfore.  Did own a 88 Plum Crazy Purple Samurai a few years ago. The tracker ill be getting a 2"  lift kit and 235/75/15 tires soon. What about the balls truckers hang on thier trailers? Would they help on either car?
