Only if it isn't running right to begin with.  I run mine about 2 degree advanced over stock, but with plugs that were gapped to large I ran it a bit more.

So i took the tracker to Fallon,Nv I am out here for the next month training. Today i went for a little drive out on the public land. All i can say is that i am realy surprised how well it did.

With good plugs and wires your timing should be set to spec.  But some of us have found that a lot of engines like 1-2 degree advancement over stock.  On my engine I would see a bit of a dead zone in power between 2-3k and a drop in mileage.  Right now I get 25mpg with 23lb's of air in the tires.

Did it come with a shaft extension? I thought that was required. If you have that and it still doesn't fit then I'd think it just needs to be bent a little

High NOX is from too fast of a burn, more advance will make
the NOX worse, so go to stock or even 1-2 retarded just for
smog check, then dial in 1-2 advance in your timing for driving

I am going to take this in for a new cat back now that i have my new manifold. I was thinking 2 1/4 with a good muffler that size sounds about standard.

2" is what most have gone to, unless you are turbocharged, then
it's what ever will fit, but you need some back pressure to run best,
or you might find you lose power and/or economy
