Swapping a 2.0 L for a 2.3 L?
« on: February 05, 2011, 10:20:51 PM »
Have you ever heard of anyone doing this?  Is the 2.3 L Aerio engine the same block as a 2.0?  Could be another 20hp......?

I was thinking it has been done.  Or am I thinking of the 2.0 swap in place of the 1.8...which I know can be done ???  If you can't find an answer on here, or the other zuk forums, you might try googling it.

The 2.3 Aerio engine is the same block as the 2.0/1.8. I've heard of the Aerio 2.3 done in a Sammy but it should be a pretty easy swap for the 2.0 using the 2.0 intake and Exhaust manifold. The water outlet is on the back of the 2.3 though and may require some modding.

I've never seen the 2.3, but the water outlet is on the back of the head on the 1.8 & 2.0 (those use the same head & block)
