I have rebuit my 88 stock 1.3 engine-finally-still runs like crap-missing/backfiring/wont run right when timing is set properly (10 degrees). It runs as well as possible with the timing set as far forward as possible.
I have gathered from reading forum posts that replacing the stock carb with a weber allows one to get rid of some of the vacuum lines. My question is how many remain? I have no idea if all the vacuum components work so I would like to replace carb and remove as many of the vacuum system components as possible.
I appreciate the help, I would not have made it this far without the help from folks on this board.
