I'm in the market to get a 2dr 99-03 and notice that some have split rear seats and some are bench ...

Is there any reasoning to which would be which?

For example:
*) Only vitaras have split
*) Only 99-01 have split
*) Only a certain trim level has split

I'd prefer a split seat, but would settle for bench if splits are likely to be found in a pik-a-part ...
I know the split rear seats in the previous generation trac/kick was fairly rare ...
