Hey jared, you want to sell that little flowmaster?
Doh, nevermind. I just looked at your post closer and see that you are still using it. :P

??? NO wonder it sounded obnoxious with that 6 pack o beer size muffler!  I originally tried a flowmaster (at least TWICE the size of that)  simply for the ruggedness of construction being heavier gage steel and all. Made it down the road less than a mile before making a quick u turn back to the garage to rip that nasty thaing off. Hard to describe the sound, loud droning accompanied moments of much louder blatting   went right up the street to the local speed shop and picked up a decent but cheap turbo muffler, swapped and viola, nice. $32 with tax I think. Besides, quiet is appreciated by lots of living things. imo.
Only one drawback, now I can hear all the squeaks and rattles

Kind of hard to drive conservatively with that power setting there, isn't it?  Just punch it to see if the tires still break, or see if you can hold it out on a corner.

I rode in jluck's audikick last week.wow what a ride.the little thing has torque for sure.taking off from a dead stop you dont need a driver side tire. 8)   the whole conversion is done with pride and is no hack job by far.im glad to see he is getting another muffler on it.it was loud in 5th gear.

I finally got a chance to pull the rear bumper and get some paint on it. was running around with bare steel back there. I welded up the inside, smoothed the tacks and edges on the front side, gave it a glaze of autobody icing and sanded it smooth, then a few heavy coats of primer and it will be ready to sand and finish paint tomorrow.

and a cool rainbow (ring) around the sun. I saw this at the Florence Oregon dunes Friday.

I have seen "sun devils" come straight out of the ocean before. WAY COOL! this was my first "sun dog".

well weather was good and one of the boys and a couple friends were bugging me to go wheeling,so after very little arm twisting....off we went.(bumper paint was drying anyway). after a couple hours of playing....KERPOW!...UH OH....

lets just say I regeared today.(and changed one axle). I went back to open diff for now.(thank god, spools out). I had 4.62's in the diffs when I put in the diesel and they just didn't work well with the Audi motor.

its SOOOO much better now with the 5.12's. :) I love it!!

got the bumper "hammerite" painted. (not too sure if I like it).
