How are you tuning it? Do you have a wide band O2 sensor? About
the only way to get it close is to tune by EGT, and it needs to be one
that can read very quickly so you can catch lean and rich spots

I'm using a vems tune. With wideband o2. Pretty basic system I just need to get a propper tps. I think it will be fine.

Keep plugging away at it and you'll get it right sooner or later Jluck. If it gets too frustrating, try taking a break from it for a couple days and let your mind clear.

When you get it right, dont forget to save your work.  A friend of mine spent months dialing his in, then had an ECM failure.  He couldnt find his data and had to start over.

Are you using a straight ODBC II reader?  If so which software application are you running?

I'm using lugtronic standalone with a vems computer and software. So regular OBD doesn't appily.(that would make it too easy)

I got it!

I found a coil pack that was bad on #4 cylinder. what a relief. I drove it down to see my brother tonight. (about 14 miles) and it did pretty good. it still needs tuned but at least now I can actually do it!

it feels like it will have a ton of power when tuned right! it will already loop out on my driveway with just a burp of the throttle. I will tune all day tomorrow and get some poser pics too.

I caught myself laughing out loud nonstop driving it today. it is already a hoot!

That's when you know it 's probably worth it 

here's some poser pics of it somewhere other than the shop. then some camping prep.(back in the shop). and finally a day I have waited a long time for.........the decal.

did some trail preparations today. put in a pioneer CD deck (5 dollar garage sale special) and some Boston acoustic speakers in the front (wow)!,made some of my "special" cup holders. they have magnets epoxied to the bottom so you can put them anywhere you want or if you are working on the rig. they also work as can coozies and store in the OE cup holders to stay out of the way.
also added a GPS, mag-light over the driver door and started tidying up under the bonnet.
