need pics and info on budget body lift

im in a position where i need a few extra inches of body lift to clear my radiator with my 2.0 swap...ive allready cut up some 2 1/2" square tubing to use for body lift...i cant seem to find any info on here anymore..heathers site is down, anyone have any pics of how they did theirs..i cant seem to remember what body bushings to re-use and the sequence they were placed...thanks in advance

87 sami with yota axles...529 gears...spool rear...lockrite front...3-link and volvo coils....rears up front shackle reversal...4:16:1 t-case gears...34/10.50 ltb's.....diy beadlocks....

Not to sidetrack you but what radiator did you use? Maybe it'd be easier to lower the mounts for that instead? I've placed radiators for V6 GV in sidekicks with no body lift... and body lifts really make the vehicle feel and handle 'loosie goosie' and also crush the body mounts on the frame over time resulting in poorly fitting doors, cracked windshields, squeaks and rattles.

Just a thought...

As for the box tube body lift, you can look in our archive at the 3" Calmini body lift article... It's old but it'll show you with pictures what you're trying to do, I think...

im using the radiator from the same donor sport as the motor came from...to move the mounts low enough, id have to cut the front tube crossmember...ill get pics soon

here ya go...i had to move the rad. forward as much as i could to clear the electric fan,..also i cut off the original 1.6 radiator mounts to get this one to drop down further,...other than purchasing an exspensive custom rad.,..body lift seems to be my only answer...
