Over the last few weeks I have had a 2" body lift and a SPOA done on my 88 Samurai. Woo Hoo!! Also had 31x10.50 put on the OEM rims. Finally test drove it and I have a vibration coming from somewhere? Hubs are unlocked and transfer case is in 2H. Checked the tires for air pressure and balancing in good.

What else do I need to check or what could be causing the vibrations???

what speed does the vibs start and do they stop at a certain speed ?
is your driveshaft phased properly ?
did you move your pinion angle when you went spoa ?

Dont know about the phase but i will check tmrrw. As far as angle I didnt do the SPOA myself. The local shop did it but they didnt have time to test drive it so I did over the weekend.

Lucky for you.... take it back! My bet goes with the driveline angle being off 2 degree. But them you didn't describe the where the vibration seems to be.

Removed front DS and still have vibration. Havent checked pinion angle yet. When I drive it the vibration doesnt come from the transmission or TC. I can feel it in the steering wheel and the doors vibrate in 1st and 2nd gear but smooths out in the higher gears.

It almost sounds like a tire balancing issue...

You wasted your time removing the front driveshaft.  Because when you drove it with the hubs unlocked and the tcase in 2high, the front driveshaft wasn't turning....so therefore, it wasn't a front driveshaft or front axle pinion angle issue.
If you want to rule out the rear driveshaft and the rear pinion angle, remove the rear driveshaft, run it in 4high with the hubs locked in (you will have to use the front axle to make it "go").  If you still have the vibration when doing that, then it is likely a tire balance issue and/or the caster could be off on the front axle causing the front tires to shake.

What steering modifictions were done? Z-Link / OTT? It sounds more like a shimmy if you feel it in the wheel. I would still take it back if I paid someone to install the lift. It may be as simple as if everything isn't tightened up like it should be. Or they accidently knocked off a wheel weight.

Were wheel spacers installed? Are they tight? Lug nuts tight?

yeah Skyhiranger i thought about that after i posted it!!!! LOL I talked to the shop and they said it wasnt on their end. Im just trying to make sure it is not anything that could be blamed on the Samurai before I make them fix it.

Keep us posted of what they find. There are just sooooo many varibles of things it could be. Shucks it could be something as simple as a tire that was slightly out of balence and had previously been a rear tire that was moved to the front during the installation.

Sometimes the simplest of things are the hardest to identify...... 

Well the shop couldnt find anything! We talked about it and we think it may need drive shaft spacers. I will be order some soon. Also Im going to try a few more things like decreasing air pressure by 2-3 lbs in each tire.

Do you still feel like the vibration is comming from the front end? Try something simple like moving the rear tires forward and the front tires to the back. If it is a tire/rim/ balence issue you should be able to tell.

Your shop might be right about the addition of shaft spacers with your new lift. But the vibration you feel isn't a resuslt of the front shaft since it is turning. (Like discussed previously.)
You could go ahead and purchase them since you may very well need them but I doubt they will cure your vibration issue unless your guess is incorrect about the vibration comming from the front.

I didn't see any mention of a steering stabilizer either, do you have one (a good one)? that might just do the trick. I have saw that cure some pretty major problems.

How about drive shaft indexing? is it out of phase?
